We didn’t catch anything and we had to leave because the ice became unstable due to snowmobiles running through the middle of the river. I will go again though. It was fun talking with everyone while waiting for a bite. I can proudly say I did what I said I would. Next time I’ll catch a fish.
Looks very cold but still fun. Good on you. I’d like to try it too. I hope you catch some fish next time. 🙂

Thanks. Ya fingers crossed for fish next time. The spot we were at was just too shallow and I think the fish were scared off by the snowmobile engines.

No I have only tried the Pike and it was yummy. I caught a 12 pound one a couple weeks ago so my skills are improving.

Pike and perch are so similar but perch have more bones. A pain to get at the meat. I like to drop a line to exactly 64 degrees maybe about 100 feet down in Canandaigua lake NY) for lake trout or hit the streams in spring for rainbow trout caught on a fly pole

I am looking forward to fishing in other seasons. The pike were all caught in the St Lawrence River Canada side. Across from new York state actually
